Circuit Breaker / Kostoglotov

New split cassette from two of London's purveyors of noisy electronic post-rock.

Circuit Breaker
Self confessed Noise Rockers, Circuit Breaker create discombobulated song forms with bratty man-child vocals; a stuttering and static filled howl of noise generated from a variety of electronic devices including home-made guitars, synths, tone generators, drum machines and toys.

Kostoglotov
Kostoglotov is the solo bedroom recording project of Daryl Worthington. This tape, much like the CDR, split tape (with Liminal Noise Tapes founders/curator Lost Harbours) and abundance of online download releases, was recorded with Dictaphone and digital four track only. This lo-fi approach was born out of fiscal necessity, as much as aesthetic intention. Kostoglotov’s sound is shaped by an equal appreciation of drone, ambient, improvised and homemade music. His ‘songs’ have been played on Minutemen legend and personal hero Mike Watts podcast (twice), and been described by God Is In The TV zine as reminiscent of “an electro soundtrack to an old cartoon called the Ugly Bug Ball”. He chooses to take this as a compliment.

Pollux / Rainbow Valley

New split cassette from two masters of the ambient arts, coming soon.

Pollux
Pollux is the brainchild of Arnaud Barbe, a hyper-productive 23 year old from France. In 2007 he created the first of hundreds of tracks in the form of 'Frustration',  a mixture of minimalist ambient indus sound and porn samples. Over the next few years his achievements grew with over 130 releases on a number of labels, the curating of the netlabel Creative Obsession, the founding of his own net-label Sirona-Records and the co-production with Kai Nobuko of the world's first lobit webradio podcast called Tibol.

Rainbow Valley
Rainbow Valley is a multi-coloured tide of over lapping sound waves gently, and sometimes not so gently rocking the psyche.  The work of Southend-on-Sea musician Graham Boosey, who also operates under the moniker of Little Penguin, Graham has released a number of high quality tapes on labels such as Sangoplasmo, Jozik Records and now Liminal Noise. He also regularly releases Lobit music on a variety of net-labels and on floppy disks, most recently on Diskette Etikette Rekords.
